Eckerö Post and Customs House

Just a stone's throw from Eckerö Linjen’s harbor in Berghamn, you’ll find the magnificent yellow Post and Customs House in the Empire style, designed by the German-born Finnish architect Carl Ludvig Engel and completed in 1828.

During the summer, the Post and Customs House is open to visitors, and in the main building you can see exhibitions featuring contemporary artworks and design. There is also a cozy café.
A museum shop is also available, offering Ålandic arts and crafts, books, postcards, and stamps.

Summer 2025, you can see the new permanent exhibition POST & CUSTOMS, about the Great Postal Route and the customs service, and CLAY, featuring Ålandic ceramic artists Judy Bradley, Paul Bradley, Mia Englund, and Marilinn Lund, as well as a permanent exhibition on Ålandic arts and crafts and design.
