Kastelholm Castle + Prison Museum Vita Björn - Entrance

Kastelholm Castle, which was a defensive fortress, was built at the end of the 1300s. The castle was then rebuilt in various stages until the 1600s and developed into a castle with mainly administrative functions.

From the end of the 1600s, the castle was left to decay. The castle ruins have now been largely restored and are open to visitors.
The entrance ticket also includes a visit to the Vita Björn Prison Museum, which functioned as a jail and prison from the late 1700s until 1950.

April 3–5, Easter: 10 AM – 4 PM
May 2 – September 30: daily 10 AM – 5 PM
October 14–17, autumn break: 10 AM – 4 PM
